DIY Large Faux Stone Vase
I’m Back with Another DIY Project…
When it comes to DIY projects, there’s one method tried and tested that people seem to love. So when I finished this DIY large faux stone vase, I knew that you guys were going to go crazy for this. I’m so excited to show off this DIY webisode on my YouTube channel. Though similar to my last faux stone project, there’s a couple of differences that really take this project to the next level.
First is the additional detail added to the DIY large faux stone vase. I wanted to add some interest to the vase, so adding string to create ridges, takes it to the next level.

Secondly, I went with a different painting method. Usually I add the paint with brushes. However, this time, I went with using kitchen roll, dry and damp, to add to the texture and blend in the paint. The resuly is amazing. I love the different tones and the organic feels it adds to the vase.
This DIY project itself is so easy to do, It’s the perfect beginner project for someone to do over the weekend. The thing that takes the most time is drying. Ideally, I’d give it a few hours between layers and overnight for complete drying. In terms of colours, you can really go with any shade or tones. It depends entirely on your personal taste and interior style.
