Event planning made simple…

Being a November baby, it’s hard to get everyone organised for to come out and celebrate. After all, there are so many festive events coming up and not many weekends left before Christmas. So when it came to organising my birthday celebrations this past weekend, I wanted to ensure it was easy to get everyone together. This is where Paperless Post comes into play.

I’ve used Paperless Post before to organise events, mainly in my full time job, so I was delighted when they approached me for a collaboration. I loved their services for planning events. For this collaboration, I decided to use them for planning out my birthday celebrations with my friends. The whole process was quick and simple to do so. The only hard part, choosing my design for my card. There are so many gorgeous designs and styles, it was hard to pin-point one down. In the end I managed it. My design was by one of my favourite stationary companies Rifle Paper Co and really reflected the general theme of the event.

Paperless Post offers so many options to make planning your even easy. Here are some of my top tips for organising an event…

GIVE YOUR GUESTS EASY OPTIONS.

People get confused with too much choice, so when it comes to an event, make sure the options are simple. Yes or no for if they can come to the event, this is the time they are to come, etc. You want to make the event as seamless as possible for both you and your guests and then everyone will have fun. With Paperless Post, there are simple, customisable options for your guest to tell you exactly what you need to know. With the e-invites

PROVIDE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CAN FOR YOUR GUESTS.

Something that always stresses me out about organising an event is the million and one questions you get about the party. Where is happening? What time is it again? Who’s coming? With Paperless Post, your event dashboard allows you to add all this information. A Google map is readily available for guests to see and click for directions. The time is clear with the option for guests to set themselves a reminder. You can hide who is attending, but having everyone see who’s there allows guests to communicate between each other, possible organise lifts and who’s bringing what. No more random WhatsApp groups, thank goodness!

HAVE SOMEWHERE TO NOTE IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

With any event, there is always important information to make a note of. The number one for me that I always like to make a note of is dietary requirements. I knew there were some people coming on Saturday with different food needs (mainly celiac). Luckily with Paperless Post, there’s a message board for guests to communicate these things. You can also do drop down menus for this information too. Knowing all important information beforehand allows you to head to your event not having to worry about anything- allowing you to focus on the most important things. Having fun.

Paperless post has a multitude of options for planning events, but you can also send e-cards. Perfect for this festive time of year. I have a few family members who live abroad, so it’s going to be much easier to send them a gorgeous e-card than worrying about getting a physical one to the post office in time. Who will you send a Paperless Post e-card to?

The event invites from Paperless Post were complimentary in exchange for a review. All thoughts & opinions are still my own.
