Our Bathroom Makeover
My New Favourite Room in Our Home…
I’m so happy to finally reveal our bathroom makeover. This space has been a labour of love and I’m so happy it’s finally completed. The latest of our rental home makeovers and it’s honestly my favourite one yet. I’m so excited to show it off.
This bathroom has had a makeover prior, but that was always for function rather than looks and design. This time, it was time to combine the two. I wanted to build on what I had managed to create in our laundry room. I’m loving bringing more of the heritage into our home and I wanted to bring this feeling into our bathroom.
Our Bathroom Makeover.
The first thing to do was to strip it back to the bones. Next, it was time to transform three areas. The first is the tiles, which we painted with Ronseal tile paint. This was the best thing we could have done for the tiles, they looked so much better than the blue that they were.
The second was the flooring, which I covered with peel-and-stick tiles from our local DIY store. They completely transformed the floor, making the room feel much bigger than it is. I love the classic black and white checkerboard look, it’s something I would love to do in our kitchen one day, so this small bathroom was a great place to start.
Finally, it was the walls, which I covered in Lucie Annabel wallpaper. It’s gorgeous and it’s perfect. It’s bold and dramatic and brings that heritage into the room. I love this print and I cannot wait to bring more wallpaper designs into our home.
