The Decor Pieces We Should Have All Have in Our Home…

This DIY vintage breadboards project was a happy accident that I’m glad I spontaneously decided the give it a go. I had a free weekend, rather than relax and unwind, decided to take on another project.

I’ve been eyeing up having more vintage breadboards in my home for a while. but I’m on a major spending pause whilst I save for other important things. This led me to wonder if I could make these myself. Turns out yes, for a lot less and customised to exactly what I wanted for my home.

The whole process took my a weekend and I cannot recommend it enough as a project to do. If you are a beginner, this DIY vintage breadboards project is the perfect option for anyone wanting to try out power tools for the first time. During this project I used my jigsaw and sander- that’s it.

The thing that I have the most fun with this project was playing around with stains. I’m still learning what the perfect technique for sanding is, but I had so much fun with mixing stains to get my perfect colour. I was really after that worn vintage look and I managed to get after a play around.
