Bringing a Little Bit of Cosiness to My Home…
I must admit, I wasn’t planning to do any Fall decorating in my home. I had my Autumnal porch planned out (reveal coming soon very, very soon) but I was sort of going to leave the home this year. However, my love for decorating for the seasons bit me in the butt. And soon, I was pulling out my Fall decor box and putting up some pieces to decorate my fireplace for Autumn.
MY FIREPLACE DECOR FOR AUTUMN THIS YEAR…
I decided to go simple this year. Sure, I put up my banner (because who doesn’t love a banner?). But for the rest of it, it was all about embracing different tones and texture. If you’ve been following me decorating my home this year, I’m starting to adult my interiors. So I’m really embracing darker tones. No more all-white interiors. My fall decorating is helping me bring in more of these warmer, earthy tones. Plus, a lot of binging of Fixer Upper.
With my fireplace for Autumn, I decided to anchor either side of the mantle. I just love this glass vase from La Redoute. The orange tones help make the room cosy. Placed on top of some stacked books and it’s the perfect styling moment. I also broke a few branches off my red eucalyptus from my entryway and placed it into this little vase. The perfect way to add some life to this styling.
I also love adding my ‘Happy Halloween’ bunting to my fireplace. The simplicity of it fits my neutral decor, but the message brings a little whimsy to my home. Finally, a few pinecones scattered across the mantle. Again, just a little way of bringing the outside in…
