My Rental Living Room Makeover 3.0

Because a lot can change in a year…

Something occurred to me the other day that whilst I was working on my bedroom makeover post and linking to the other room makeover. Whilst looking at my last living room post, I suddenly realised that since the beginning of the year my living room has changed a lot. Changes which you lovely lot have been obsessed with over on Instagram. So much so, I figured that it was time for a new renovation post. Considering that the next renovation one won’t be until next year. So let’s have a look at the next phase in my rental living room makeover…

MY RENTAL LIVING ROOM MAKEOVER.

First, let’s talk about the big changes. Since the last living room makeover, the shelving unit has been upcycled and spray-painted white and styled to perfection. It’s now a prominent feature in the room. In front of this is my new rattan armchair. I’ve wanted a rattan chair in the living room so such a long time, and now I finlly have one. I’m trying as much as I can to ensure it doesn’t become a dumping ground it always looks perfectly styled. However, this is not always the case.

Next thing that has changed is the coffee table. I got this coffee table from Maisons Du Monde. It’s a little different from the classic white ones that I usually purchase, but I think the white adds something different to the room. It’s lower down, which makes it mor comfortable to sit and work at if I don’t fancy sitting on the sofa. And there’s still enough room to house my trinkets and coffee table books.

OTHER NEW PIECES.

There are also some other new pieces that have been added. Starting with our gorgeous new pendant shade. This gorgeous bamboo one is from La Redoute and it frames the room perfectly. Sadly, it’s not on the website anymore, but there is a similar one right here which is just as gorgeous. Next is my brass mirror over my fireplace, which is also from La Redoute. I honestly love it. It looks great in the space and adds so much light to the room.

Finally, the cushion covers. These were the final things that I added to my living room makeover. I really wanted to complete that neutral look and, of course, one of the best places to get them from is H&M Home. Such good quality, they look fabulous and are so comfy to sit against on the sofa.
